Senior Managing Director

Dan co-manages ACG and oversees our private client advisory practice. As a Senior Managing Director, he helps to set the strategic direction of the firm. Dan is involved with new business development activities and ongoing client relationship management. Dan joined ACG in 1992 and has 34 years of investment industry experience. Dan is a member of ACG’s Investment Committee, which establishes the framework for the firm's investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to ultimately make investment recommendations to clients. Dan received a degree in Communications from the University of Tulsa. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Senior Managing Director

George co-manages ACG and oversees our Institutional business. As a Senior Managing Director, he helps to set the strategic direction of the firm. George is a member of ACG’s Investment Committee, which is comprised of senior members of the organization and whose primary task is to ensure continuity and consistency in the investment recommendations to our clients. George works with a broad array of client relationships and brings value to our clients through his strategic advisory, portfolio modeling and evaluation, and ongoing education. Prior to joining our firm in 1996, George was a Vice President for Gershman Investment Corp. in St. Louis. He brings a background in finance and real estate, and earned his finance degree from the University of Colorado. George is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Lori D. Mills, CFA

Managing Director
As our Director of Research, Lori oversees the firm's research process. Lori is a Managing Director and member of ACG's executive team, which sets the course and direction of the firm. Lori is also a member of Asset Consulting Group's Investment Committee, which establishes the framework for the firm's investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to ultimately make investment recommendations to clients. Lori also works closely with a variety of clients to develop investment policy, and to design and construct portfolios. Prior to joining the firm in 2003, Lori served as Director of Research for Capital Advisory Group in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to her role at Capital Advisory Group, Lori served as Treasury Manager for the University of Wisconsin System Trust Funds. Lori holds a BS in Finance and Business Economics from Southern Illinois University and an MS in Finance, Investment and Banking from the University of Wisconsin. She is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Managing Director
Don serves as ACG's Director of Operations. He began his career in the financial services industry in 1984. Prior to joining the firm, Don was a Vice President with Walnut Street Securities where he developed their investment management and research divisions. Don also has significant experience trading fixed income securities and managing client relationships. He is a member of Asset Consulting Group's Investment Committee, which establishes the framework for the firm's investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to ultimately make investment recommendations to clients. He holds a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Don is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Managing Director

Jason works primarily with the firm's institutional clients. His work involves assisting clients with developing investment policy, asset allocation and portfolio construction, and leading manager search and due diligence efforts. Jason is the firm's Compliance Officer and is a member of the Investment Committee, which establishes the framework for the firm's investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to ultimately make investment recommendations to clients. Jason received his Law Degree from St. Louis University, his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Missouri and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is a member of the Missouri and Illinois Bar Association, the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys, the CFA Society of St. Louis, and the CFA Institute.

Mitch is a Senior Consultant who services a wide variety of clients with an emphasis on private clients. Mitch joined ACG in 2002 and has over 30 years of experience in the investment management and financial services industry. He participates in ACG’s Investment Committee, which establishes the framework for the firm’s investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to ultimately make investment recommendations to clients. Prior to joining ACG, Mitch was responsible for overseeing the investment advisory services practice of Ernst & Young’s Midwest area where he consulted to institutional and high-net-worth clients and served on their national investment committee. Mitch received a BA in Accounting from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst designee.

Patti is a Senior Consultant who works closely with both institutional and private investor clients on investment policy development, asset allocation and portfolio construction, manager search and due diligence, performance evaluation and education. She participates in ACG’s Investment Committee, which establishes the framework for the firm’s investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to ultimately make investment recommendations to clients. Patti has over 35 years of experience in the financial services arena, 23 of which were focused on equity market research, including her long tenure as Managing Director of Equity Research for Bank of America. Patti holds a BA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Missouri. She is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Wendy is a Senior Consultant who works closely with a wide variety of clients.  Her responsibilities include assisting clients with investment policy development, asset allocation and portfolio construction, manager search and due diligence, performance evaluation and education. She participates in ACG’s Investment Committee, which establishes the framework for the firm’s investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to ultimately make investment recommendations to clients.  Prior to joining ACG, Wendy was a senior consultant with Mercer. Wendy has worked in the investment advisory arena for 23 years.  She holds a BA in East Asian Studies from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.  Wendy is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis.  She is also a Certified Investment Management Analyst designee.

Chris is a Senior Consultant in our private client advisory practice where he is responsible for a wide array of client initiatives. He is also a member of ACG’s Investment Committee, which is tasked with ensuring continuity and consistency in the investment recommendations to our clients.  Prior to joining ACG, Chris was with a $3 billion high-net-worth family in Atlanta, GA, for 10 years, the last six of which he served as the investment manager. His responsibilities included coordinating investment strategy with the family's estate plan, overseeing all third-party investment managers and private equity and direct investments, and planning and executing family meetings and educational programs. Chris was previously a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst with ING Group and prior to that was an Audit Staff/Senior Accountant with Price, Waterhouse in Washington, DC. He obtained his MS in Finance from the University of Colorado and his BSBA in Accounting from Georgetown University. Chris is a licensed CPA and a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Haley is a Lead Consultant who works primarily with our institutional clients. Haley is a member of ACG’s Investment Committee, which establishes the framework for the firm's investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to ultimately make investment recommendations to clients.  Prior to joining ACG, Haley was an investment analyst at Moneta Group. There she was responsible for due diligence and ongoing monitoring of actively managed equity and fixed income investment alternatives for high-net-worth and institutional clients. Haley holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Roger is a Senior Consultant within our private client advisory practice. Originally from South Africa, he has worked in the investment industry since 1993. In addition to his consultant responsibilities, he is also a member of ACG’s Investment Committee, which establishes the framework for the firm's investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to ultimately make investment recommendations to clients.  Prior to joining ACG, Roger held the position of Regional Investment Manager within Wells Fargo’s Wealth Management Group where he had responsibility for a team of investment managers overseeing $4 billion of client assets. Roger previously served as Chief Investment Officer of A.G. Edwards Trust Company. Prior to joining A.G. Edwards in 1999, he gained six years of institutional asset management experience in South Africa, including roles in portfolio management, security analysis and equity trading. Roger has an Honors Degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Natal, South Africa. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Patty is a Portfolio Analyst in our institutional consulting group. Having been with the firm for 19 years, Patty brings valuable investment knowledge and technical expertise to our client relationships. Patty is responsible for portfolio analysis, investment manager review and ongoing due diligence, investment policy development and ongoing review, investment performance evaluation, custodian bank review and search, portfolio cost analysis, portfolio rebalancing and transition management. Patty is a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, with a degree in Business Administration and an emphasis in Finance.

Prior to joining ACG in 2014, Alex worked for the Cerner Corporation, where he developed accounting software for healthcare systems, and the Kansas City Royals, where he conducted market research and revenue analysis for their sponsorship department. Alex graduated from Drury University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance.  He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Bill works as a Portfolio Analyst and his primary responsibilities include asset allocation analysis, investment manager due diligence, portfolio analysis, and general client support services. Prior to joining ACG, Bill worked at Wachovia Securities (A.G. Edwards), where during his tenure as a Research Analyst he was responsible for analyzing debt, equity and commodity sensitive asset classes and his duties included collecting data, building analytical models to analyze the data, and making recommendations on his findings. Bill received a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree with a Minor in Chemistry from the University Missouri-St. Louis and an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from Saint Louis University. Bill brings over 20 years of industry experience to our clients.

Edwards & Sons, as Vice President of Operations at Meramec Valley Bank, and as a Bank Examiner for the Missouri Division of Finance.  Beth earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Truman State University and her MBA from Webster University.  She is a holder of the Charter Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Cindy is a Portfolio Analyst on our institutional consulting team. Prior to her current role, Cindy was a member of the performance measurement group within ACG. Before joining ACG, Cindy worked with the chief financial officer in the External Financial Affairs Department of Imperial College in London, England. There she was an intern researching investment strategies for their endowment fund and for the college. She also brings over four years of experience working with financial advisors at Salomon Smith Barney and Oppenheimer. Cindy is a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Brad is a Director in our research group. His responsibilities include manager due diligence and analysis across the spectrum of fixed income investment strategies, as well as involvement in the firm's broader capital markets research effort. Brad also participates in ACG’s Investment Committee, which establishes the framework for the firm’s investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to ultimately make investment recommendations to clients. Before joining ACG, Brad spent six years as an Investment Advisor for Brand Asset Management Group where he led the firm’s Investment Committee, oversaw the portfolio management function, provided research support, and assisted in client consultation. Prior to that role, he served as a Credit Research Analyst for NISA Investment Advisors and as an Associate Analyst in the securities research department at A.G. Edwards & Sons. Brad received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Kansas. He has over 17 years of experience in the investment industry. Brad is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Tom joined ACG in 2001 and is a senior member of our research team. He is primarily responsible for manager identification, due diligence, and selection and monitoring of long/short equity and equity-based event driven hedge fund managers. Tom also helps coordinate manager research and due diligence of traditional equity asset classes. Tom is a member of Asset Consulting Group's Investment Committee which establishes the framework for the firm's investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to ultimately make investment recommendations to clients. Prior to joining our firm, Tom spent several years working with distressed companies and trustees at the United States Bankruptcy Court. Prior to that, he spent four years at Price Waterhouse performing financial analysis and strategic planning. Tom earned his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and his BA (Cum Laude) from St. Louis University. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

Joe joined ACG as an Analyst in our research group in 2005. Mark is a Vice President in our research group.  His responsibilities include collaborating with clients to create and implement Liability Driven Investment (LDI) solutions, develop investment policy, design and construct portfolios, and prepare capital market publications and assumptions. Before joining ACG, Mark was Senior Vice President and Director of Modeling for Summit Strategies Group. Prior to that role, he served as an Actuary for Benefit Finance Partners, where he received 4 US Patents for managing the assets and liabilities of Nonqualified Deferred Compensation plans and stable value investment funds. Mark received his BA degree in Mathematics and Chemistry from St. Olaf College.  He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.  Mark is also an Associate in the Society of Actuaries and an Associate in the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.

Mike is a Vice President in our research group.  His primary responsibilities focus on analysis, due diligence and reporting for commodities, real estate and private equity funds. Prior to joining ACG, Mike was a Manager in KPMG’s Transaction Services group specializing in financial and operational due diligence for private equity funds. Mike received a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. Kathleen joined ACG in 2015 as a Senior Research Analyst.  She focuses on the identification, analysis, and ongoing due diligence of US small/mid cap equity investment strategies.  Before joining ACG, Kathleen served as Senior Equity Analyst at WallachBeth Capital, concentrating in the Medical Device and Equipment industries.  Prior to that, she worked in sell-side equity analysis at Leerink Swann, Susquehanna Investment Group, and Stifel Nicolaus.  Kathleen earned a BS in Business Economics and Finance with a minor in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.  She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute. 
Stephen A. Ott

Senior Research Analyst
Steve joined ACG in 2010 as a Research Analyst. Prior to joining ACG, Steve spent over 25 years in various capacities at Anheuser-Busch InBev. His experience there most recently included directing a team of analysts that provided business consulting to major national chain accounts, with a focus on using information-based selling to drive customers’ sales and profit results. He also managed the business and sales planning group at A-B’s promotional products division, and spent several years in supply and logistics roles at both the headquarters and plant levels. Steve earned his MBA from Washington University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the University of Missouri. Steve has successfully completed Levels I and II of the CFA curriculum.

Nick joined ACG in 2007 as an Analyst in our research group focusing on the identification, due diligence and analysis of investment strategies. Prior to joining ACG, he was employed with Citigroup as a Financial Analyst, where he directed the financial evaluation and assessment of third-party suppliers. Nick earned his Master of Science degree in Finance from Saint Louis University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University. Research Analyst
Jeff joined ACG in 2007 and is a Research Analyst. His primary responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data from investment managers and managing this information in ACG’s proprietary research database.  In addition, Jeff works closely with our hedge fund team to support ongoing monitoring and due diligence efforts. Research Analyst
Alex joined ACG in 2016 as a Research Analyst.  He focuses on identification, analysis and due diligence of US large cap equity investment strategies. Prior to joining ACG, Alex worked as an equity research assistant at the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio.  While at STRS-Ohio, he was involved in buy-side equity research analysis for US large cap equities with a focus on the Information Technology sector.  Alex earned his MBA from Ohio State University with a concentration in Finance and Marketing, and has a BA in Psychology with a minor in Economics from Wittenberg University.  Alex has successfully passed Level I of the CFA curriculum.

Marc joined ACG in 2018 as a Research Analyst. His primary responsibilities include analysis, due diligence, and reporting for illiquid investment strategies including private debt, private equity, and real assets. Prior to joining ACG, Marc was a portfolio manager with Salient Partners where he oversaw a diversified portfolio of hedge fund and private investments. Prior to that, he served as an analyst at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Marc holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from American University. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.

Director
Diane joined ACG in 1992, bringing significant investment accounting knowledge, client servicing, and technical experience to our performance and reporting process. Diane's primary responsibilities involve projects with a focus on developing and implementing processes and methodologies for data gathering, performance reporting, and portfolio evaluation. She has led initiatives such as system transitions, after-tax reporting, new performance monitoring templates, portfolio rebalancing, and new client implementation procedures. Prior to joining ACG, Diane’s experience with Boatmen's Trust Company as a Portfolio Evaluation Officer for seven years included responsibility for all non-custodial accounting and performance reporting. Diane earned her Bachelor in Business Management degree from the University of Phoenix.

John joined ACG in 2007 as a Performance Analyst. His primary responsibilities include compiling and reconciling data from custodian banks, analyzing the data, and interpreting the information into timely, customized client reports. Sarah joined ACG in 2006 as a Performance Analyst. Her responsibilities include collecting and analyzing portfolio data and preparing and reviewing customized client reports. Sarah graduated from Maryville University of Saint Louis in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Sarah completed her MBA in 2008 at Maryville University.

LaDonna joined ACG in 2005.  As part of the performance reporting team, her focus is on managing complex client account structures, establishing procedures to accurately maintain client data, and preparing customized performance reports.  Prior to ACG, LaDonna spent 19 years in the institutional trust departments of both US Bank and Bank of America.  Her numerous roles included client relationship manager, daily valuation coordinator, and special projects consultant.  She holds a BS in Business Administration and Finance from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville, as well as the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation.

Haley joined ACG in 2016 as a Performance Analyst.  Her responsibilities include gathering data, calculating and reconciling returns and producing client reports.  Haley graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas where she was an avid contributor to the school's Student Managed Investment Fund.  She completed her Master of Science in Finance at Washington University in St. Louis with a concentration in Corporate Finance and Investments.  Before joining ACG, Haley served as a member of the Financial Analysis and Reporting team at Kellwood Company, an industry-wide leader in apparel manufacturing.

William interned at ACG for two consecutive summers while he was attending college.  He graduated in 2015 from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and a minor in Economics.

Jacob joined ACG in 2014 as a performance analyst.  His primary responsibilities include data compilation, reconciliation and analysis and performance reporting.  He previously worked for US Bank as a Corporate Actions Representative and as a finance intern at Kennedy Capital Management.  Jacob has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.

Daniel joined our firm in 2018.  As a Performance Analyst, Daniel is responsible for data compilation, reconciliation and analysis, and performance reporting.  Daniel graduated in 2017 from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics. He previously attended the University of Oklahoma as a student-athlete running cross country and track.  Prior to joining ACG, he worked at Edward Jones as a Senior Accounting Specialist.

Bobbie joined ACG in 2001 and performs several accounting functions within the firm including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing. She is also responsible for preparing and producing internal financial reports as well as assisting with regulatory and compliance issues. In addition to her finance and accounting role, Bobbie also assists the Performance Group where she collects and analyzes portfolio data and prepares customized client reports. Her previous employment included five years with a CPA firm.

Alexey joined ACG in 2018 as a member of our Information Technology Group. His responsibilities include software development, network administration, and technical support. Prior to joining our firm, Alexey developed software and web applications for an advertising agency as well as local and nationwide businesses. Alexey is a graduate of Saint Louis Community College with an Associate of Degree in Software Development.  He is currently pursuing a Computer Science Degree at Webster University.
